Complimentary collector guidance · Original South African art

Our name, our purpose

A home for
African art.

Ikhaya means “home” in isiZulu and isiXhosa. Pronounced approximately ee-KHAH-yah.

Ikhaya Art House is a home for African art. We bring original art into homes and create a place where artists and art lovers belong.

What guides us

Fewer works.
Deeper attention.

01

Originality over volume

We are building a house for original physical artworks, with public listings reviewed before publication.

02

Trust in every exchange

Clear records, considered moderation and plain-language policies must be in place before live transactions begin.

03

Artists keep the value

Our intended model is 90% of the artwork price to the artist and 10% to the house. Delivery is separate.

04

Connection stays human

Collector enquiries begin in the house, with personal information handled carefully.

A transparent model

90% to the artist.
10% to the house.

Our proposed commission supports curation, marketplace protection, administration, promotion and collector service. Final seller terms will apply before any work is accepted for sale.
