Ikhaya Art House

Marketplace policies

Working launch principles — not final transaction terms. This site currently supports collection browsing, accounts, favourites, artist applications and enquiries. Online payments and binding bidding are disabled.

Artists & original works

Applications are reviewed by the house. The intended collection is original physical artwork. The proposed commercial model is 90% of the artwork price to the artist and 10% to the house, with delivery stated separately. A final artist agreement, verification process and approval policy are required before sales begin.

Delivery & collection

Enquiries do not reserve a work or arrange delivery. Collection, packaging, delivery responsibilities, costs, insurance and receipt confirmation must be agreed and documented before a purchase service opens.

Auctions & bids

The auction page is a preview only. It does not accept bids. Auction dates, reserves, increments, identity checks, closing rules and winner-payment obligations will be published with the live bidding service.

Payments & artist payouts

No payment gateway or escrow service is connected. The reference concept envisages payout after receipt confirmation; that is not currently implemented. A suitable payment provider and clear settlement, refund and dispute rules must be agreed before accepting money.

Returns, reviews & disputes

Cancellation, returns, verified-purchase reviews, dispute handling and payout timelines are not yet open services. Final policies need approval before these features launch. Do not treat example content or demonstration records as real inventory or transaction history.
